Peripatetic Music lessons

At Collingbourne we have a number of peripatetic music teachers who come in to school every week. We currently offer piano, woodwind and guitar.

Piano

Piano lessons are taught on a Monday and Tuesday by Jesse Pomfret .

I have been teaching piano for too many years to count.  I teach from absolute beginnners to grade 8 and all pupils of all abilities are welcomed. I have lived in the area for several years, after moving here from Merseyside.  Having been introduced to the piano at the age of five, I have played and taught ever since.  I have accompanied many students playing woodwind instruments, as well as the piano, and over the years I have supported countless  shows, concerts and exams.

Woodwind

Jo Nash from Storm Dynamics and affiliated with Swindon Music Service comes into school on a Wednesday and currently teaches recorder, flute, clarinet and saxophone.

Jo holds a BA Hons Degree in music from the Colchester Institute of Music and Performing Arts specialising in composition and saxophone. She also plays the flute, clarinet, recorder and piano.

Jo is the Musical Director of the Salisbury Big Band and plays for the DGB Saxophone Quartet.

Guitar

Guitar lessons are given in school on a Thursday with Tom Evans who is an affiliated music teacher with Swindon Music Service.

“I draw on over 20 years of guitar playing experience to be able to offer guitar lessons that cover all styles and experience types. I have played thousands of gigs over the years with various bands across the UK and Europe, and I have had the pleasure of performing with past contestants from The X-Factor and The Voice UK with a wide range of styles. I offer guitar lessons for both acoustic and electric.”
